Description
A no-buttermilk classic waffle recipe.
Ingredients
1 3/4 cup (220g) all purpose flour
2 tablespoons (25g) brown sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
3 large eggs
8 tablespoons melted butter
1 1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1-2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200ºF and heat waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.
- In a large bowl whisk the dry ingredients(flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon) together and set aside.
- In a large measuring cup stir together the eggs,milk, vanilla extract and maple syrup.
- Create a well in the flour and pour in the milk mixture. While whisking the batter together, slowly pour in the melted butter. Stir until smooth.
- Ladle the batter into the waffle iron and cook until desired doneness.
- Place the finished waffles on a cookie sheet and set in the warmed oven until you’re ready to serve.
- Serve with maple syrup, blueberry topping, Pecan topping, or fresh fruit
