How to Brown Bananas for Banana Bread

    Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Under normal circumstances if you want to make banana bread you just wait for the bananas in your fruit bowl to turn as black as possible.  It’s perfect, you feel good about not wasting bananas and then you have banana bread.

However if you want to make 7 banana bread recipes in a weekend you might be on a bit of a time crunch and you can’t wait for the bananas to naturally age and turn perfectly ripe for banana bread. If you’re in a rush like me, all you have to do is bake the bananas.

Hey Y'all. I'm Richelle, the baker behind Southern Shelle! I started this blog back in 2011 while I was awaiting my bar exam results and I wanted a little of piece home [South Carolina!] while we lived in the DMV area. We eventually moved back south, but that's even more reason to celebrate southern baking and plentiful White Lily Flour!
